We decided to pivot and integrate our expertise in business strategy from our corporate days and beautiful visual designs - which is why we made the big decision to pivot and shifted completely to serve small businesses and entrepreneurs.
It felt very scary, more so than when we started our event design & styling business - because we were letting go of something good that we already built, something that was making money! I needed this decision to pivot to be the right decision. Pursuing our passion and creating a life that feeds into our personal mission was the one and only reason why Terrie and I both left corporate.
Yet both of us felt if we continued with our event design and styling business, we’d feel stuck and not be able to reach our potential. We personally wanted / needed to grow quickly, especially after letting go of a business we've built.
We grew our previous business via word of mouth and a pretty Instagram feed, and we were lucky to have reached the growth we wanted. But, now that we were starting from scratch yet again, we needed a more proactive strategy to grow quicker. And when it comes to Instagram, I wanted a more holistic launch strategy, beyond just pretty feeds. I wanted a system to convert the community we have on Instagram, from followers of pretty photos to business growth. The Instagram Launch strategy really spoke to me.
We've been sticking to the Instagram Launch Strategy for all of our launches, minor and major ones throughout the year. Our first minor launch generated $2380 just from Instagram, and second minor launch sold out our brand shoot promo at the time at $6540 — all just using your Instagram launch strategy, not including another marketing channel from the same campaign. Right now, we’ve integrated Instagram marketing as part of our more holistic marketing strategy and use it along with FB Ads, Instagram Ads, affiliates & partners, and it’s been fueling our ongoing marketing year round!
One of my favorite things about TAW is the close community we got. Everyone has their talent and specialty, and they are all so supportive. So we now got an amazing network of professionals in different fields! We've done collaboration on giveaways, referred clients to other TAW members, and built meaningful network and friendship.
